Accessibility statement

Encino Gates is meant to be usable by every homeowner who lands on it, including people who get around by keyboard or switch, enlarge the screen, or listen with a screen reader. Below: where the site stands, and how to reach us when it falls short.
What we measure against
The target is WCAG 2.1 at the AA level. Those guidelines, from the World Wide Web Consortium, ask for strong color contrast, a focus outline you can actually see, field labels a screen reader can announce, and text that reflows instead of running off the screen when you zoom.
How the pages are tested
Before an update is put online, an automated tool called axe scans every page twice, sized as a phone and sized as a desktop. The newest run found nothing rated serious or critical.
Automated scans only find part of the picture. A manual check is planned too: a person tabbing through every page by keyboard, then listening to it through a screen reader. That has not happened yet.
Reporting a barrier
Open the contact form set to Something on the site is hard to use and tell us which page it was and what tripped you up. Naming your device or assistive technology is optional, but it helps us reproduce the problem.
Our reply and fix times
We answer within 2 business days. Our aim is to fix what you report within 45 days, and if it needs longer, we will explain the delay and give you a new target date.
Scope
These commitments apply to this website. Encino Gates is a referral service, so the installer's own quotes, paperwork and tools are theirs to handle.
